Built From The Ground Up.

David Burns Racing isn’t a factory operation with a corporate budget. It’s a family-built sprint car team run by people who care about every bolt on the car and every lap on the track.

David Burns founded the team in 1999 at Duke City Raceway in Albuquerque – winning Rookie of the Year in his first season. Today he fields the No. 42 car for driver Caleb Saiz, the all-time winningest driver in the Desert Series and a 7-time sprint car champion.

In 2026 David Burns Racing made its debut in High Limit Racing – the premier national 410 sprint car series. Twenty-seven years of building something real led to that moment.

Started racing in 1999. Won Rookie of the Year. Built one of the most respected independent sprint car operations in the Southwest over 27 years. Served in the United States Air Force for 20 years.
